The Louisiana Academy of Performing Arts has been providing the Greater New Orleans community with only the finest programs in music education for the past twenty-seven years.  The increasing demand for instruction in the creative and performing arts at our institution requires talented, motivated, and qualified faculty members.  If you are interested in a fulfilling career as a music instructor, LAAPA offers flexible schedules, health benefits, and a stimulating work environment. 

We are currently conducting interviews and hiring music teachers for positions at all of our campus locations which will commence in September, 2008.  Part and Full Time positions available.  Compensation is based on experience and degree. 

Instructors are needed to teach weekly private lessons to students in the following disciplines:

  • Voice

  • Piano

  • Violin/Strings

Requirements:

Bachelor of Music Degree or Artist Diploma from an Accredited School of Music, and a passion for music education.
