The Louisiana Academy of Performing Arts (LAAPA) is a private academy of the performing arts offering music lessons and dance classes with campus locations in Covington, Mandeville, and New Orleans, LA.
Originally founded in 1978, the Academy is now in its 33rd year of providing students of all ages with a lifetime appreciation for the performing arts.
At LAAPA we offer a wide variety of music and dance programs for children as well as adults. Our faculty members make each lesson fun and enjoy teaching students at all levels from beginning through advanced. Our students come to us from throughout the New Orleans, LA area.

Numerous studies have concluded that education in the performing arts increases memory and coordination skills, enhances student academic performance, increases self-esteem, and of course provides a wonderful creative and emotional outlet.
