Bye Bye Birdie is a high-energy, laugh-out-loud musical comedy that captures the excitement and chaos of 1950s rock-and-roll America. When teen idol Conrad Birdie is drafted into the army, his manager hatches a publicity stunt that sends him to a small Midwestern town to give one lucky fan a farewell kiss on live television. What follows is a whirlwind of screaming fans, nervous parents, teen angst, and toe-tapping songs like “Put On a Happy Face” and “Kids.” Packed with humor, heart, and classic Broadway charm, Bye Bye Birdie is a joyful celebration of youth, music, and a culture on the brink of change.
