Dear Parents and Students,

Our Spring Dance Recitals and Award Ceremonies will be held as follows:

River Ridge Campus  : Sunday, June 30, at St. Martins Solomon Theatre - 225 Green Acres Rd in Metairie

Mandeville Campus  : Sunday, June 23 at Fuhrmann Auditorium, 317 N. Jefferson St, Covington 

More details will be made available closer to the recital date. Please keep the afternoon-evening open. Your specific arrival times and further details will be announced as soon as they are available.

All students are asked to sign-up online at www.laapa.com/dance-recital no later than 3/11/2019Any student not returning the form by 3/11 will be subject to a $10 late fee. If their class’ costume is unavailable, they will be unable to participate We are unable to make any exceptions to this deadline. 

Students will be measured for costumes during classes February 25-March 9, so please be sure to attend!  By signing up for the dance recital, you are agreeing to purchase a class costume.  Pricing per costume will range from $80-110 plus tax depending on your classes and sizes needed. Once the costumes are ordered, we will be charging the card on file for the full amount. Please inform us if you wish to have another card used other than the one on file. If we do not hear from you prior to 3/11, then we will use the card on file. There will be no credits given or costume fees returned once the costumes are ordered.

RULES AND GUIDELINES FOR PARTICIPATION:
- All students that are not performing in the recital must inform the teacher immediately as an exact count of students performing will be necessary for the choreography.  
- All students not participating in the recital will still be able to attend their weekly lessons.
- All students will purchase their costumes through LAAPA. By signing up for the dance recital, you are committing to purchasing a dance costume. Once students are measured and costumes have been ordered, we are unable to provide refunds for costume orders. 
- All dance students must attend all lessons from now until the recital. If students miss more than four lessons from now until the recital without making them up, they will not be able to perform.
- Dress rehearsals will be held the week before the recital during each student’s normal class time. Students should come in full costume with hair and makeup done. Dress rehearsals will be held at the River Ridge School of Music & Dance and Mandeville School of Music & Dance.

REHEARSALS:

All dance students must attend dress rehearsals during their lesson the week of June 21-27 (River Ridge students only) and June 15-21 (Mandeville students only).  Parents may attend the dress rehearsal in the LAAPA Performance Hall.

All dance students must attend the FINAL dress rehearsal Friday June 28 at St. Martin's (River Ridge students only) and Sunday June 23 (Mandeville students only) at Fuhrmann Auditorium during their allotted time which will be provided closer to the performance.

TICKETS:

All tickets this year must be purchased at events.laapa.com. Tickets will be emailed to you and you may print or display them from your phone. *Please note that February-March 31 all tickets are on sale at the early bird rates. After March 31, the regular online prices begin. Purchasing your tickets online versus at the door will be the cheapest option.*

Two complimentary recital tickets (per family) are available for students and/or parents to pick up at the Front Desk.  Student performers do not need a ticket. 

AWARDS:

Many awards will be presented at each program based on the number of years students have been taking lessons at LAAPA.  Every student who is performing will be recognized for his/her time of study and accomplishments.

The school is hereby granted permission to take photographs, audio, and video of the student during the concerts to use in advertisements and other promotional materials the school creates.

I authorize LAAPA to deduct costume fees from my account on file at the time this entry form is submitted. I understand that costume fees will be approximately $80-110 PER costume per class PLUS TAX. I understand that my performance time(s) will be assigned ASAP after registering and that all fees are nonrefundable.

If you’d like to use an alternate form of payment for the costume fee, or have any other concerns, please only complete this form in-person at the front desk.
