LAAPA's Theatre Department is pleased to present the Rogers & Hammerstein classic, "Cinderella - Youth Edition" this Summer under the direction of Mrs. Rebecca Posey (Music Director), Mr. Nicoli Hutchison (Acting/Stage Director), and Mrs. Madelaine Daigle (Dance Director)!
This musical production will hold all rehearsals at our Northshore Mandeville Campus, and the performances will be held in Covington at the Fuhrmann Auditorium. We welcome and encourage musicians, dancers, and actors ages 7-up from all campuses to participate! This show is also open to new students who may not be currently enrolled in lessons with LAAPA!
To be considered for all casting opportunities, students are highly encouraged to participate in all 3 segments of the audition - singing, acting, AND dancing (even if they feel a little uncomfortable in any of those areas). Students are asked to complete the audition form below no later than 5/12/2023 to be considered for a part. Any student not returning the form by 5/12 will be unable to participate.
Students should prepare one of the songs from the show below! Please note that for the purposes of the audition, we will be using the "Audition Track" which means the melody will not be present when you are singing (just like in the show).

Actors will be handed a script from the show and asked to read 1-2 different character parts within the scenes. All students auditioning for acting parts should be at a proficient reading level.
Dancers will be taught 2-3 choreographed mini routines on the day of the audition and will be assessed for their aptitude in learning the new material. There is nothing specific that needs to be prepared in advance.
