Christmas Concerts 2023 - About the Teresian Mission

This year, your donations will be supporting the Teresian Sisters Mission which works with families in need in the Uvalde Texas area. Just 30 minutes outside of Uvalde, Texas, Batesville is a small, impoverished town near the Mexican Border.

Wanda Cullen, Assistant Director at LAAPA recently visited with and interviewed the Teresian sisters at the mission (see video below) to hear first hand of what the mission is all about, how they help, and how grateful the families are for the support that they receive.

We and the Teresian sisters greatly appreciate your continued generosity to support the work of the Mission each year, and we are glad to be able to share with you first hand of how you are making a difference in the lives of so many people.

Donations requested for 2023: baby supplies, unwrapped Christmas gifts for all ages, cash donations may be made payable to "Teresian Sisters Mission". These items will be collected by our staff the day of the concerts and dropped off to the Teresian Sister's Provincilate Headquarters in Covington where they will process your donations and deliver them to families located in Uvalde, Texas. LAAPA has been donating gifts to families and children in this Uvalde community for years at Christmas time. We are so happy to be able to once again bring joy to this community this Christmas as in past years especially in light of the recent tragedies that the community has suffered. Christmas donations and gifts from all of you will indeed bring much needed joy to the Uvalde, TX community this Christmas!

Donations are only able to be accepted the days of the concerts. Please do not drop off donations at our school locations.

You may additionally send donations/gifts directly addressed to:
