The Louisiana Academy of Performing Arts has been providing the Greater New Orleans community with only the finest programs in music and dance education for the past thirty eight years. The increasing demand for instruction in the creative and performing arts at our institution requires talented, motivated, and qualified faculty/staff members. If you are interested in a fulfilling career as a music or dance instructor or staff member, LAAPA offers flexible schedules, and a stimulating work environment.

Each February-May, we hold an open application period for the upcoming School Year. We are currently accepting applications and conducting interviews for the following part time and full time teaching positions commencing in Summer/Fall 2017:

Requirements:

Music Faculty - Bachelor of Music Degree or Artist Diploma from an accredited school of music and a passion for music education.

Dance Faculty - Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Dance or Dance Masters certification or comparable professional certifications/experience and a passion for dance education.

Staff Members - Minimum of a high school diploma (or equivalent), an outgoing personality, a passion for organization and attention to detail, ability to multi-task, strong computer skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills.  No music or dance experience is necessary but is welcomed.
